About My Clients
Life has shifted and you don’t feel like yourself. Maybe it’s a breakup, a career change, a move, a loss, or a family situation that’s been weighing on you. You might be anxious, stuck, or tired of pretending you’re fine. You don’t need to have it figured out to start. I work with adults going through transitions, including first-time therapy clients, and I’ll help you make sense of what you’re feeling.
My Background and Approach
My goal is for you to leave sessions with simple things you can use in real life, like ways to slow down, calm your body, and think clearly when things feel like too much. I’m warm, and I’m also direct. We’ll start with what’s weighing on you right now, then look at the patterns underneath, including ones that began in your family growing up. I pay attention to both what you say and what you feel in your body, because your body often knows things your words haven’t caught up to yet. I’m the child of immigrants, and I know how much can go unspoken in families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people can change and grow at any point in their lives. Many of the patterns that keep us stuck, like people-pleasing, shutting down, or going it alone, are things we learned for good reasons, usually early and often in our families. What was learned can be unlearned, and you can build something that fits who you are now. You don’t need to have it figured out to begin. I’m the child of immigrants, and I bring an awareness of how family, culture, and expectation shape us into every session. Meditation and mindfulness are part of my own life, and they shape how I show up: steady, curious, and honest.
