I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Harvard Law School grad. I offer a warm, compassionate, and authentic approach.
Licensed Professional Counselor in Arlington, VA
As a highly sensitive person (HSP) myself, I am able to work with clients on how to understand both the challenges and strengths the trait can bring. I often work with clients on how sensitivity, creativity, and giftedness have shaped their life experiences and how they can utilize these in their adult lives.
I have developed and led several therapy groups and workshops on the topic of mindful self-compassion, based on the research and work by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. My work as a whole focuses on helping clients overcome barriers to self-acceptance. If you are tired of constant self-criticism, feel perfectionism is getting in the way, or just wish you felt more confident and at peace, I may be the right therapist for you.
I spent several years in career counseling and recruiting before entering mental health counseling. In a therapeutic setting, I am able to explore how clients' career goals relate to life purpose, meaning, and life satisfaction. Well-being is tied to how we spend our time, and I am able to help clients explore how to find work-life balance or begin a career transition.
