My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in relational and sex therapy. I work with individuals and couples. My affirming therapy approach supports individuals of gender, sexually, and relationally diverse (GSRD) populations, including LGBTQ+, kink, BDSM, sex work, non-monogamy, and polyamory. I help those who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, intimacy, sexual health, and relational challenges. As an affirming therapist in San Diego, I wish to help you through the fear of being misunderstood, so we can get to the issues that are most pressing to you. My approach to therapy is through relational theories such as attachment theory and psychodynamic. Whether you are going through a challenging time, need guidance, or looking to create change in your life, I look forward to meeting you and beginning something new.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Social Worker by profession. This means my training was rooted in social justice and the belief in the value of our innate humanity. I believe in a holistic approach to care, where good health involves the “whole” person — mentally, physically, and spiritually. I have been volunteering, working, and serving the LGBTQ+ community for over seven years and am heavily involved professionally, communally, and personally. Also, I serve and volunteer for additional sexual minority populations-kink, BDSM, consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, sex work. I believe we all have the right to express our sexuality, relationships, and ourselves how we want. It is my honors to continue to serve, volunteer with, and provide resources to these communities; however, I can.
