About My Clients
I have specific interest in working with those who identify as neurodivergent (e.g ADHD, Autism, OCD), career issues/burnout, and relationship and perinatal challenges. My clients are often deep thinkers, very empathic, and want to feel understood by someone who really gets it. Challenges with boundaries/people pleasing, navigating sensory and social areas, feelings of overwhelm, work/life balance, and overall life demands are common areas we work on.
My Background and Approach
I value bringing compassion, humor, and my authentic self into the therapy room with clients. My approach is rooted in relational, client-centered, and feminist views that see individuals as experts of their own lives who are existing in complex systems. I often utilize several forms of interventions as helpful, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and also incorporate a relational psychodynamic style to identify and address current ways of relating to others and the world that often stem from our past. Regarding my background, I earned my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and my Bachelor's in Psychology from Lafayette College. I was a Division 1 college athlete, as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent person, I feel passionate about working with these communities and promoting social justice values overall. I welcome exploring the complexity of intersecting identities and approach clients with curiosity and humility in understanding how systems impact them.
