About My Clients
I specialize in individuals who are struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. I can offer help and support to those who are motivated to do the work, mend their relationship with food and body. Additionally I have extensive experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse. I work with people who are completely 100% sure they want to change things in their lives, and also people who are exploring what change would mean for them.
My Background and Approach
Joy Zelikovsky, Psy.D., HSPP, M.A., M.Phil.Ed., M.S.Ed Joy received her Doctorate in Psychology and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology. She has also completed a Master’s of Philosophy in Education and a Master’s of Science in Education in Professional Counseling and Psychological Services, respectively, from the University of Pennsylvania. Joy completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Joy is also credentialed as a National Health Service Psychologist. Joy is currently the Director of Eating Disorder Services and has developed and runs an intensive outpatient program (IOP). She also has a private practice where she individually works with clients. She has worked in a variety of settings including, private practice, community mental health and college counseling. Joy also teaches at the graduate level and provides supervision.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Health At Every Size (HAES) clinician, meaning that I believe all bodies are good bodies and people can search for health at every size. I am also weight inclusive and have a passion for working against fat phobia. I believe that all bodies are worthy and acceptable.
