About My Clients
My clients are the coolest. Not that I'm biased. They're often kinky, within the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, in non-monogamous relationships, with some neurodivergence, and often are pretty sarcastic. Sometimes, they need support when it comes to their executive function and their relationships. Sometimes, they need help with anxiety and depression. As a team, we can navigate the challenges and complexities of life.
My Background and Approach
There can often be worry about shame or stigma when it comes to their ability to do "basic tasks" That shit ends as soon as you walk in the door. The therapeutic space I offer is free of judgment and is as welcoming as it possibly can be. I am insanely appreciative of all who walk through my door and are looking to explore what makes them tick, what brings them pleasure and the internalized bullshit they carry within. With a touch of sarcasm, a healthy dose of humor and a jumble of letters (DBT, eclectic, strengths based, solution focused) as well as being a sex therapist (through the Sexual Health Alliance), we can ensure that YOUR needs will be met therapeutically to help you achieve the goals that YOU have. I know that you have it in you to make the changes you want, you just might not know you have that strength yet.
My Values as a Therapist
I am LGBTQIA+ welcoming (and identifying), with a kink friendly/positive approach, that is also welcoming to the poly/CNM/ENM/open community (that's a mouthful). Life can be fucking challenging, and I want to help you see that you are able to conquer whatever is thrown at you. Not only that, but learn to thrive in that. I am a nerd who has favorite scientific studies (seriously, the rats running v. not running is hands down my favorite!), but will also be completely ready to throw some tidbits of wisdom at you from the Real Housewives. I will not ever pretend to be an expert in anything, but want to learn with you as we go through this together.
