I enjoy working with adults (18+) and LGBTQ+ community. Although therapy can be challenging, I am here to work alongside you as an equal partner and team member; whether this is your first-time in therapy or you’re in a place in which a little help and support is needed. Together, we will work towards discovering the strengths to face life’s challenges.
My Background and Approach
I am a trauma informed therapist who specializes in working with trauma & PTSD, anxiety, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is relational, strengths based, and incorporates mindfulness and EMDR. I believe in empowering clients to make their own choices and decide how they want their lives to look. I have a M.A. in Professional Counseling and a B.S. in Psychology. I've received training in EMDR and mindfulness. Over the last decade I’ve worked in the mental health field while in a variety of settings. Including a non-profit agency, university setting, drug & alcohol center, private practice, research lab, and psychiatric hospital. These settings highlighted how mental health impacts people with various backgrounds and identities.
