About My Clients

You thought this would be one of the joyous times in your life, but it is so hard. You are trying to balance it all: motherhood, your career, and relationships. You feel disconnected from yourself and everything you used enjoy. Somedays, you feel so irritated and so overwhelmed, you feel like you are going to snap. Guess what? You don't have to do this alone. Whether you are trying to conceive or just gave birth, it's vital for women to get the support they need. Let's figure this out together.

My Background and Approach

It can be scary having these thoughts and feelings. It feels like if you actually speak them out loud, people may judge you. I want you to know that this is a judgement free zone. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum and everything in between is messy. It comes with a rollercoaster of emotions that can leave women shaken up and lost. In sessions with me, we will work on reconnecting with your inner self and feeling more empowered being a mother. After over six year of providing individual and group counseling, I have gained expertise working with BIPOC women navigate their mental health during these seasons. From being on the fence about having children, to trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth and beyond! With this passion, I obtained specialized postgraduate training in perinatal mood disorders through Postpartum Support International. I utilize holistic and eclectic approaches

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe women and mothers of color need support more than ever. We are in the most unprecedented times and navigating motherhood through all of this can be so hard. As an IVF mom and survivor of postpartum depression, I get it. I recognize the hard and dark days of motherhood. Through my own therapy, I was able to feel more empowered and be compassionate with myself as I figured out motherhood (Let's be real, we are all still figuring it out.) Women of color are at a higher risk of experiencing postpartum depression and are less likely to receive care. I believe BIPOC women deserve unconditional support as they navigate these seasons of motherhood. Are you ready? Lets talk!
