About My Clients
My goal as a therapist is to create a positive, authentic, and safe environment for individuals, teens/adolescents, couples, and groups. I am thrilled to join you on a portion of your journey. I have experience working with victims of crime and other traumas as well as parents with children as young as 6 weeks. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT), and Positive Disciple.
My Background and Approach
I have one rule in session: We have to laugh at least once. As a person-centered therapist, you will lead and I will follow. Along the way, we can increase our coping skills, learn more about mindfulness, and begin to experience relaxation physically, mentally, and spiritually.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is hard, work can be stressful, parenting can be chaotic, relationships can be confusing, and sometimes we are just not okay! Therapy can be a place where you learn more about yourself, your family of origin, and the world around you. Even though life is hard we can still have peace. With a mindfulness approach, we can help you find your safe place. We can change how you relate to the world and your suffering in a manner that benefits you. In a life that can sometimes be a rollercoaster, we will work together to handle the ups and downs.
