About My Clients
I work with adults to help resolve traumatic events. I also work with children and families. In child therapy, I work with them individually as well as including family sessions as part of the process. I enjoy helping people of all walks of life find purpose and meaning in their experiences.
My Background and Approach
I will describe first how I work with adults in resolving traumatic events, and then I will describe how I work with families. Resolving traumatic events is similar to a life transition process. It's scary to imagine becoming our best selves. We know how to navigate life now, how will we know what to do, even if things get better? Truth is, your best self is just the same person using what helps you feel best in your daily life. I can help you release what is needed to help you achieve or maintain this process. Working with children and families requires the same level of care and intentionality that any kind of counseling requires. I enjoy working with children individually and with families as a whole. I am passionate about providing children an opportunity to explore and grow their individual identity. With families, I focus on the structure and patterns of communication between the different parts. I can help you find or maintain what is most helpful for your family dynamic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We can find the short-term goals that will help you reach your long-term objectives. We'll figure out the destination of where you want to go and how best to get you there.
