My Background and Approach
My journey into therapy was born from a desire to help people. With a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior, I was drawn to understanding how the human brain works. After college in the Midwest, I felt a calling to practice closer to home, where I could be part of the vibrant tapestry of life in Nashville. My education continued at Vanderbilt, where I delved into understanding how the human mind works. This, combined with my background in neuroscience, forms the foundation of my therapeutic approach. Further training in humanistic connection and trauma-informed therapy techniques has enriched my practice, equipping me to support clients from all walks of life. To me, therapy is about forging strong relationships and recognizing that change is a unique journey for everyone. I've learned that genuine connection and a willingness to explore another person's emotional landscape can lead to profound change.
