About My Clients
My ideal clients are children/adolescents whose parents are seeking additional support and guidance to overcome behavioral and emotional challenges. I have a unique passion for working with children on the Autism spectrum and meeting their unique needs while developing emotional regulation skills. My background includes working alongside foster and adoptive children who have come from hard places while providing hope and healing to both them and their families.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) committed to helping children navigate their trauma and adversities to increase resilience and coping skills while developing healthy relationships. My work focuses on combining my extensive experience with working with children on the Autism Spectrum with my passion of working with children who have experienced trauma. I take a unique approach in utilizing Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy with Client-Centered Play Therapy. I incorporate elements of both therapies to meet the individualized needs of children both typical and neurodiverse. I believe in collaborating with parents throughout the therapeutic journey so they feel empowered in their developed skills and can advocate for resilience in the family as a whole. I also provide parent sessions when necessary to provide psychoeducation and maintain consistency both in and out of session.
