My Background and Approach
Facing difficulties in life can seem overwhelming, seeking therapy is a courageous first step in your journey for emotional wellness. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Board Certified Art Therapist, I work from a client centered, strength based methodology to address personal life challenges. I believe in a collaborative approach, assisting clients find meaning from their struggle and create a path towards healing. I have found the benefit of integrating Art Therapy within the counseling relationship makes it possible to express what sometimes might be difficult or impossible to communicate with words. My methodology in the healing process is collaborative, supportive, while utilizing cognitive behavioral interventions interwoven with the Art Therapy modality to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues. I consider myself the guide on your journey towards healing and the many possibilities that await in different areas of your life.
