I have about 4 years of experience in my graduate training on working with PTSD. Working in local organizations I have treated survivors of sexual violence and sexual assault, folks dealing with traumatic grief, veterans and military sexual trauma, and the trauma that comes from living in an oppressive society with a marginalized identity.

As an out and open genderqueer person, I consider myself to also be an expert by experience, but I always center the lived experiences of my clients and where they want to see themselves.

During my internship year I fulfilled specialized training in working with ASD. As an AuDHD person I consider myself to be an expert by experience while also keeping in mind relevant research and my clients' needs. I strive to be accommodating for different neurotypes, and focus on clarity and transparency in the therapy relationship. I will always share the "why" behind what we do and the "how" of how this is being used to work on your therapy goals.

An AEDP approach is about creating that feeling and using it to push ourself to make changes, then more changes, and then even more as we continue to grow into a different version of ourselves.

Gestalt therapy focuses on what's happening right now. While the past might be helpful to learn how we got here, change happens when we can pause or interrupt processes that aren't helping us anymore. Focusing on the present also allows us to think about and practice what we want to do differently right then and there.

Experiential therapy can feel sometimes intense and sometimes very silly. Acting things out or pretending we're talking to someone in an empty chair can feel weird, but change happens in the practice of something new or the trying out of new ways of being.
