About My Clients
My clients are doing well by most outside measures. They are reflective, capable people who have often done therapy before and want to go deeper than coping strategies. The clients I see individually are working on relational patterns, identity, and the gap between how capable they look and how they feel. My couples know something is off and are serious enough about the relationship to do something about it. They want more than fewer arguments. They want to understand each other.
My Background and Approach
I work with high-achieving women and with couples who want more than symptom management. For couples, I integrate the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Gottman for the patterns, EFT for the emotional roots underneath. For individuals, my work is depth-oriented, feminist, and relational, and I use EMDR when insight alone hasn't shifted a pattern. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Boston University, and an MBA. I see clients in person at 226 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, MA and by telehealth across Massachusetts and Washington. My practice is private pay, and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
