About My Clients

Do you present a self-confident image, but internally experience feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt? Perhaps you long to feel at peace with yourself, but the self-judgement and pressure leave you feeling anxious, depressed, & overwhelmed. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with self-criticism, shame, and low self-esteem. After working with me, my clients feel more confident in their own skin, and are better able to navigate relationships, life transitions, and work-stress.

My Background and Approach

The way we relate to ourselves is key to our well-being. In times of difficulty, we can be harshly self-critical, which can lead to depression or self-loathing, and can make it harder to achieve our goals. I help my clients cultivate a kinder inner voice and develop greater self-acceptance so they can walk through life with more confidence and resilience. I integrate mind-body approaches to help you cultivate deeper self-awareness and self-compassion. I support you to make choices that free you from the harmful patterns that no longer serve you. I provide queer and gender affirmative therapy and help LGBTQ+ clients navigate discrimination, stigma, intersecting identities, and relationships. I also work with couples and families to create healthier relationships. I help develop clients’ communication skills so that they can navigate relationship shifts and conflicts, or build more intimacy and trust. I warmly welcome clients, couples and families of all structures and orientations.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

You are not intrinsically broken or in need of fixing, but your pain is real. You also have innate wisdom, resilience, and capacity for growth, and my role is to help you access these underlying strengths so that you can feel more calm, centered, and confident in yourself. With deep presence and care, I provide a warm space for you to be as you are, without fear of judgment. I support individuals from underrepresented populations who experience social marginalization, including POC, LGBTQ individuals, and immigrants. As a queer-identified therapist from a multicultural background, I help clients on the margins address the effects of discrimination, and embrace their unique expressions. Therapy can be a powerful catalyst for transformation and deep inner work. I am inspired by the courage it takes to pursue this work, and I will be honored by the opportunity to join you on your journey to feeling more fulfilled, satisfied, and whole.
