About My Clients
I am a relationship counseling intern passionate about helping couples strengthen their connection, improve communication, and build deeper understanding and empathy for each other. Each person I work with is unique and sees the world in their own way. I understand that the couples I works with may not always see eye to eye. I believe that differences in a relationship aren’t weaknesses, they’re opportunities for understanding, empathy, and a privilege of connecting with another person.
My Background and Approach
In therapy sessions, I provide a compassionate space for you to freely explore what’s on your mind and what is bringing you to therapy. I want to get to know your world and the way that you see yourself and others. I use a systems approach, recognizing that changes within yourself can create ripple effects in your relationships and environment. I also practicing narrative therapy, helping you separate challenges from your identity and empowering you to reshape your story in a way that aligns with your values and goals. I am completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Edward’s University. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Austin Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a focus on Women’s and Gender Studies from St. Edward’s University.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value building a genuine connection in the therapy room. I will empathize, relate, and work to truly understand what you have to say. I want your story to be heard, understood, and to partner with you to repair the hurts you have experienced. I am affirming and inclusive of all relationship styles and identities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and the spectrum of gender. I am also kink and sex positive. My approach is tailored to your unique experiences and needs.
