I have worked in numerous settings helping individuals cope with grief or loss. I have worked with older population and their families to anticipate grief or to process unexpected grief. I have experience working with those that experience complicated grief in form of suicide and substance use overdose.

I believe anxiety is a strong overwhelming sensation that individuals face throughout their lives that can be detrimental to people's ability to thrive. I have worked with anxiety in a crisis setting, in inpatient, and in an outpatient setting. I believe anxiety can be necessary at times, but often times hinder us from our true potential or our desired quality of life.

I have worked with depression throughout all of my clinical experience. Depression often times can be linked to suicide, but depression as most all mental health experiences, works in a spectrum. I have worked with depression that is manageable, or apart of someone's baseline to disruptive forms of depression that lead to self-harm or suicide. I believe that awareness of how depression manifests and the impact it has can lead to significant improvements in quality of life.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, and addictions. I have utilized CBT in inpatient, crisis, and outpatient settings. CBT is empirically sound and has a lot of fundamental aspects towards change for clients. I believe clients often want to see change in their life and utilizing CBT tactics can provide sustainable change that clients can feel good about.

Psychodynamic Therapy is the focus on unconscious processes as they manifest in client's present behaviors. This can be especially prominent when there is adverse childhood experience or traumatic experiences that impact one's coping skills or behaviors. I have utilized a psychodynamic lens ever since hearing about it in my studies. I believe psychodynamic theory and therapy does have room to grow, especially with consideration of cultural and intersectional impacts.

EFT is the humanistic approach to psychotherapy that draws from attachment theory to facility therapy. Attachment theory has evidence-based approaches that allow for therapists to identify how individual's are impacted and imprinted by their early attachments and social interactions. Coming from a sociological background in my undergraduate studies, I find EFT and attachment theory to be beneficial for those that are impacted by their social environment, which is about everyone.
