About My Clients
I work best with adults and couples who are willing to be curious about themselves, even if they aren't quite sure what they're looking for yet. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, sobriety, relationships, identity, or a major life transition—or simply realizing that something in your life isn't working the way you want it to. You don't need to arrive with the right words, a clear goal, or everything figured out. We can discover what's important together.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping adults and couples better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns shaping their lives. My couples work is informed by training in the Gottman Method and includes a structured assessment process designed to understand the relationship before deciding where the work should go. My approach is client-centered, curious, and engaged. I'll follow your lead, but I won't simply sit back and nod. I may notice something you haven't noticed, challenge an assumption, teach you something useful, or ask a question that takes us somewhere unexpected. I don't believe my job is to make decisions for you or tell you how to live. My job is to help you see more clearly, understand more deeply, and consider possibilities you may not have been able to see from where you were standing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve room to become more fully themselves—not who they've been told they're supposed to be. Therapy, for me, isn't about fixing people or teaching them the “right” way to live. It's a place for curiosity, honesty, greater awareness, and the freedom to examine what you've inherited, what you've learned, what you've chosen, and what you may be ready to choose differently. I value personal agency, compassion, accountability, growth, and the dignity of allowing people to make their own decisions. I also believe our relationships, families, communities, cultures, and life experiences shape us in ways worth understanding. You don't have to share my beliefs, background, or worldview for us to work well together. I care much more about creating a space where you can explore your own honestly—and where neither of us has to pretend that our humanity stops at the therapy-room door.
