About My Clients
I work with adolescents (12+), adults, and couples. My clients are often navigating anxiety, depression, major life changes, or the weight of experiences they haven't been able to talk about openly before. Many come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like they're just going through the motions. I welcome clients from all backgrounds & identities - LGBTQIA+ folks, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone who has felt like they don't quite fit the mold of what a therapy client "should" look like.
My Background and Approach
I have over 14 years of experience in mental health, having worked across across residential, inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings. That range has given me a broad foundation and a deep respect for how differently people experience mental health challenges. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. I'm licensed as an LPC-MHSP in Tennessee and an LCPC in Illinois. In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Psychoeducation, and Person-Centered Therapy. I'm also trained in EMDR, which I find particularly powerful for clients carrying anxiety or trauma. My approach is warm and supportive, but I'll also gently challenge you when it serves your growth. Therapy with me is a collaborative process; I'm here to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in a space where you feel genuinely seen and accepted. Everyone who walks through my door deserves care that is affirming, non-judgmental, and rooted in respect for who they are. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, body-positive, and trauma-informed. These aren't just words on a website, rather they shape how I show up in every session. I also believe that therapy should meet you where you are. There's no "right" way to be a client, no checklist you have to meet before you deserve support. Whether you're new to therapy or have been in and out of it for years, my goal is the same: to help you build the strength and tools to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.
