About My Clients
Change starts with small steps. Finding a therapist can seem intimidating, but in many ways it’s the first step toward the change you’re hoping for. Finding a “right fit” therapist can tremendously empower you or your loved one to regain the confidence and happiness everyone deserves. It is crucial to build a trusting relationship with a therapist who can help you work through the decisions that you need to make in order to feel whole again in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
My Background and Approach
With a background as a school counselor and in private practice, I have vast experience dealing with both adolescents and adults. I use solution-focused and Acceptance and Commitment therapy in my work, whether it’s with adults and couples who need someone to guide you through whatever rough waters you find yourself in, or with adolescents wrestling with the difficulty of being a teen in this crazy world. I am also trained in ERP for clients with OCD. I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma, anxiety and other health concerns. My clients often come to me with heightened anxiety, sexual identity struggles, partner and family stressors, grief, and overwhelm with everyday life.

Through your commitment and participation, you can help to prevent further symptoms from occurring, become mindful of triggers that may arise, and respond in a healthy way. There’s a misconception that therapy is one step away from throwing in the towel, when really therapy is the first step on a journey that can bring healing and happiness back into your life. The thought that “only those XYZ kind of people need it” can hold you back from engaging in this process of self-discovery and growth through any sort of difficult situation in your life.
