Depression can be caused or maintained by a variety of factors- all of which we will explore, identify, and try to impact in order to reduce your symptoms and improve your functioning. I may suggest seeing your Dr for some labs if you haven't had any recently since so many people are low in Vit D and/or iron, which can look a lot like depression or can make depression worse. Our thoughts are at the crux of the depression treatment process, as are emotions; I focus heavily on both.
Working on your anxiety can be uncomfortable- that's part of the process I work with my clients to overcome: avoidance of anxiety itself. It's a vicious cycle of getting anxious, trying to avoid the trigger or the anxiety itself, the anxiety building up, and then more anxiety spilling out. I don't have the magic cure, but I can help you cope and feel more empowered to handle and manage your anxiety in ways that can be easily incorporated into your daily life!
