About My Clients
My clients are creative individuals who struggle with navigating family and romantic relationships, limiting beliefs about themselves, and memories that keep them stuck, sad, and anxious. Oftentimes the world feels too much and grinds them down. Or they escape into substances and toxic behaviors. I help people rediscover themselves and learn how to have more satisfying relationships with themselves and others.
My Background and Approach
I am a somatic-depth psychotherapist. This means that I listen deeply to the body, where trauma is stored, and help build awareness that can foster growth and change. I also listen deeply to the expression of the unconscious in words, actions, and symptoms. I am adept at using art therapy to build deeper insights into self and engage shadow work, dream work, and EMDR to release trauma. In my clinical work at Mission Harbor Behavioral Health in Santa Barbara, I run groups on Family Systems and Shadow. With couples, I take an EFT and Imago approach. I also run 90 minute art sessions using Sensorimotor Drawing and Solutions-focused art therapy.
