About My Clients
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who helps individuals and adolescents understand what’s going on beneath the surface—and move forward with clarity and confidence. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll identify patterns, build on your strengths, and develop tools that actually work in your day-to-day life. As a male therapist, I often work with men who feel hesitant to open up, or under pressure to “handle things on their own."
My Background and Approach
I am flexible in my approach and use collaboration with clients as the basis of therapy. My goal is to help clients use their strengths to move forward in life and grow personally, relationally, and emotionally. Having experience with adults & older children, addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, marital & relationship issues, spiritual strife, and trauma provides me a well-rounded basis to counseling those from all backgrounds. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University in Cincinnati, following over 15 years in corporate marketing (B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University). I also spent nearly 3 years living overseas with my family where I worked for a non-profit and worked cross-culturally to help communities gain access to clean water and assisting in community development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the belief that people are perfectly imperfect. We are unique and amazing, yet we can also encounter times when we need help to live our most fulfilling life. We are not created to do life alone, and at times, we need support to become the healthiest version of ourselves. Having lived in Central America for nearly three years, I understand what it is like to have to relearn new systems, languages, and support systems.
