About My Clients
Prior to joining Foresight, I worked with individuals and groups in various settings, including schools and community programs, adolescents and adults in substance use treatment, adults in driving under the influence (DUI) treatment, as well as telehealth services. I am experienced supporting clients with a broad range of mental health symptoms, and am especially passionate about assisting those impacted by co-occurring mental health and substance use.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #6186) with 14+ years of experience providing counseling services. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida. When it comes to working with clients, I take a biopsychosocial, collaborative approach, believing we are all physical, mental, emotional, and social beings with unique goals, challenges and viewpoints. My counseling approach is person-centered, solution-focused and strength-based, incorporating evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), using the spirit of motivational interviewing to support clients to meet their goals and increase coping skills. While no one knows us better than we know ourselves, sometimes we need a little support along the way to uncover the strengths and coping abilities we have inside. I spend my personal time enjoying nature and mountain biking the trails of Southern California.
