About My Clients
Therapy is making the first step towards improved self awareness. Wanting to find peace from trauma, depression, anxiety, or need help coping with significant life changes? My Background and Approach
I am a first generation Cuban American who grew up in a bilingual, multicultural household. Doing therapy in Spanish (or Spanglish) is always an option if you feel more comfortable. From an early age, I had a deep curiosity about people, their stories, and healing. My own journey in trying to better manage life stressors, learn about myself, and fully accept myself as I am has highlighted the importance of emphasizing client’s strengths, accepting (and even learning to love) what we cannot change, and learning new skills to cope differently in the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through gentle, collaborative, and direct feedback, you can start paying closer attention to negative patterns in your life. I believe in fostering a strong therapeutic relationship to promote growth and change in my clients. You want someone that is encouraging, but challenges you. I highly value being open, honest, and genuine with you from the beginning. My training and knowledge can help you in resolving issues that include anxiety, depression, anger, lifestyle changes, relationship difficulties, communication, self-esteem, addiction, and more.
