About My Clients
Having received training and experience in three countries, one thing is universal: everyone is different. For this reason, I don’t have a typical client or typical way of doing things. I draw on my experience of helping different people from all over the world, but I’m always guided by you and your goals. In addition to being an LPCC in Colorado, I’m also an accredited counselor in Ireland. I’m committed to being a global practitioner who affirms all identities.
My Background and Approach
Working with me is pretty straightforward: whatever you need to do is what we will do. If you’re not yet sure what that is, that’s ok too. I mainly operate from a solution focused realm where we can collaborate on how to get you functioning in a realistically better place. Therapy isn't a magic wand to wave over clients without them knowing what happened. You’re the expert on your own life, culture, and existence. I’m here to support that because your lived experience is what matters.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapists' beliefs and values matter and inform how they interact with clients. I am a disabled feminist therapist. I am pro immigration and anti ICE. I believe in LGBTQ+ rights and anti-racism initiatives. I think food and healthcare are human rights. I support Palestine. I believe in environmental and animal rights. I know a lot of clients wouldn't need our help if they just had more money in a capitalist society. I don't think clients and therapists have hold the same exact values, but I believe in being explicit to help clients know if their identity is safe and supported by the therapist from the start. If you think we might be a good match, I'd be happy to meet you.
