About My Clients

I work with individuals and couples. I support folks who are recovering from trauma (including relational, institutional, spiritual and religious trauma), repairing attachment wounds, navigating relationships, and experiencing anxiety, depression, and grief. Therapy will look different for everyone. My goal in our work together is to centralize your individual goals, stay guided by your values, empower your agency, and collaborate in defining what the therapeutic process is for you.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I have worked in mental health spaces for seven years within residential treatment, wilderness therapy, and community mental health agencies. My background includes working with domestic violence and abuse survivors and trauma recovery . I am part of an incredible team of clinicians offering a breadth of specialties and focuses at Mending Roots Healing Center in West Asheville.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I view therapy as a process of “being with” - being with thoughts, feelings, and sensations; being with both suffering and pleasure; being with the body; being with self and being with another. In session we will practice pausing, experiencing, redefining, and realigning. From that place of “being with” we cultivate trust in self and relationship, and unhook from patterns of disembodiment and disconnection. The willingness to heal in the presence of another cultivates well-being and liberation across personal, relational, and collective spheres. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of relationships. We are constantly in relationship to ourselves, others and sociopolitical systems, ceaselessly and dynamically moving away from or toward the relationships that define us. Our sense of self is shaped within these intersectional relationships and therefore tending to individual healing is best done in secure connection.
