About My Clients
Sometimes life has a way of catching us off guard and turning things upside down. The challenges of maintaining self care, healthy relationships, or parenting children can all feel overwhelming and even discouraging at times. You are not alone in this journey. I specialize in emotional regulation techniques, navigating and repairing relationships, as well as changing negative thinking patterns. I am experienced in helping couples, families, adolescents, and individuals.
My Background and Approach
I provide clients with the tools necessary to shift negative and old thinking and behavior patterns that lead to achieving an authentic and healthy sense of control in order to manage all of life's challenges. I specialize in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), approaches that assist with self awareness, mindfulness, and emotional regulation techniques. These approaches can help with anxiety, PTSD, depression, anger, as well as incorporate healthy communication skills to lend toward maintaining healthy relationships. I take a psychoeducation approach with respect to what's going on in our brains and how thought patterns are formed and how those patterns can be interrupted if they are not productive or helpful any longer. The skills and techniques that I provide for clients can last a lifetime and can be life changing in positive and effective ways.
