Anxiety is a sense of disconnection to the present moment. Identifying your stressors and supports will help us find new ways to self-regulate, get curious and creative in our lives. Developing a clear understanding of what anxiety is can put you into a position of choice and change your relationship with the anxious brain state, bringing you back into connection with yourself, your life and your loved ones.

Utilizing neurophysiological perspectives we can learn to understand why our brain shifts into low vibration states and causes sadness, low motivation, and a sense of isolation from the world. Using creativity and mindfulness we can change our brain states.

Negative and self-defeating thought patterns make up our sense of self and can affect our mood. Having a compassionate view towards your self takes practice. Many people feel insecure and alone at times and this can lead us to awaken dormant parts of ourself that can empower you towards a more loving sense of who you are and what you are capable of.

Being creative is who you are. Expressing your uniqueness is healing and empowering. Making art (in any way, shape or form) feels good because you are the one making choices. Art helps connect us to ourselves and see ourselves anew. It can be a relaxing, mindful practice of getting in touch with your emotions in a safe way.

The natural world has abundant resources from which we are designed to engage with and be nourished by. Connecting with our planet helps orient us and keep us in gratitude and humility.

This is about integrating all aspects of who you are, your body, brain, spirit, and how you are in right relationship with the world around you.

Anxiety is disconnection from the present moment. To be connected we must learn what anxiety is, why it happens and how to regulate ourselves by shifting brain states. Let’s take the time to understand what stressors are in your life and how to be in relationship with them differently so that anxiety doesn’t have to keep distracting you from your goals.

Depression makes us feel alone, heavy, overwhelmed and under resourced. Understanding that depression is a signal from your nervous system helps us have compassion towards ourselves and face our fears, sadness, and pain with new insights. Art making can be a loving way to honor your pain and reconnect with the world.

How we feel about self is everything. My approach is strength-based which means we identify your natural strengths and bring them back to life by focusing on them, cultivating the energy of what makes you unique. Those thoughts that tell you that you are worthless are actually trying to keep you small because it’s the only way they know how to protect you from more shame. Insecurity is a genius illusion, a shield from others so they cant hurt you. Instead we hurt ourselves.
