About My Clients
Do you feel like anxiety is taking over your life? Do you find yourself running through all the "what ifs" or worst case scenarios? Does thinking about new experiences create an excessive amount of worry? Or does this sound like your child? Have you recently experienced a change in life that is impacting you and your family? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, I'm guessing that you are ready for some relief from these concerns interfering with your day-to-day life.
My Background and Approach
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults and caregivers, offering both individual and family therapy. I utilize a family systems, strengths based, non-judgmental approach, collaborating with clients to navigate the challenges presented by anxiety, interpersonal conflict, and life transitions. I have worked with individuals, families and groups in the mental health field since 2001 in a variety of settings including private practice/outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, day treatment, and residential treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach stems from the idea that our relationships- both past and present-impact who we are as individuals, and are important aspects to explore in therapy. I believe that all behavior is a form of communication due to an unmet need.
