About My Clients
I believe "Dis-ease" is a collective creation rather than an Individual manifestation & that habitual patterns as not pathological but “survival reactions” to internal & external systems. I support clients in locating their experiences in the body & contextualizing them in the larger context to move from imposed helplessness to rightful empowerment. I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, cultural trauma & oppression, attachment wounds, & CPTSD.
My Background and Approach
I hold a double MA in Somatic Psychology & Dance Therapy. I integrate Eastern spiritual, relational, experiential, trauma-informed, creative & decolonial lenses in my work to support your multidimensional self. I see Somatic Psychotherapy as a sacred journey of self-discovery to return to our embodied home & realign with the innate healer to live life in its fullness. The body is a manifestation of the mind where trauma translates into body patterns that keep us stuck from experiencing life fully. Hence, in attunement, we will co-create a nourishing container where the body's stories are heard with nonjudgement & compassion that unveil the unconscious, organically revealing the next steps in healing. The sessions will support reembodying creativity, humor, fun & mindfulness. I believe the therapeutic process doesn't have to be an arduous journey! Therapeutic progress is sustained with weekly homework that supports practicing tools that emerged in each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You are not broken for me to "fix" you. I see you as a whole being who may have temporarily lost their way to innate intelligence. No matter how broken one may feel, I believe we have an inherent ability to heal. My expertise is in guiding you and your expertise is in finding YOU! I believe that you are more than your symptoms, habits & social identities. I believe that we house in ourselves a divine Self that is untouched by trauma which, is a source of deep resilience, wisdom, and strength that empowers each life to its unique transformation. I hope to support you in learning to take back your power to move from helplessness & hopelessness to empowerment & aliveness. It will be an honor to join you in your journey to return to your core essence that can innately guide you to live with more ease, satisfaction, compassion, acceptance & interconnectedness.
