About My Clients
Engaging in counseling can be a difficult and scary process, but it doesn't have to be! My goal is to help you meet your mental health goals by fostering a warm and accepting environment where we can address and tackle the obstacles that are preventing you from living your best authentic life. I'm passionate about helping people identify their strengths, learn skills, and utilize tools to reach their personal goals.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, PTSD, acute/complex trauma, relationship distress, chronic pain/illness, grief/loss, issues related to acculturation and identity exploration, and other life stressors. I have received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation Chinese American, I am passionate about working with the immigrant communities and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe in the inherent strength and resilience of every human. I advocate for equitable access to mental health resources for all individuals, regardless of their background. I work with clients to help them better navigate their experiences so that they can feel more authentic and aligned as they move through the world. Societal and cultural pressures affect each of us differently. I practice in a way that acknowledges the impact of systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma on individuals and communities. I also deeply value the therapeutic relationships I build with my clients, and together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
