Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Portland, ME

About My Clients

My ideal clients are adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for meaningful change. I work especially well with people navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, addiction and recovery, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. You may understand what needs to change but struggle with how to get there. Together, we'll identify your strengths, address barriers, build practical skills, and create realistic steps toward the life you want.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, addiction and recovery, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is practical, collaborative, and strength-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems—it should help you better understand yourself, develop useful skills, recognize your strengths, and make meaningful changes in your daily life. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can be honest about what is working, what isn't, and what you want to be different. Together, we'll develop an individualized approach that fits your needs, values, and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when people feel respected, understood, and free from judgment. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, harm reduction, and a strengths-based perspective. I recognize that mental health and addiction do not exist in isolation—our experiences are shaped by relationships, family, culture, community, and the challenges we encounter throughout life. I value meeting people where they are rather than telling them where they should be. I strive to create an inclusive, welcoming space where clients can be honest about their experiences, explore what matters most to them, and define change on their own terms. My goal is to help people recognize their resilience, develop greater confidence in themselves, and build lives that feel meaningful and authentic.
