About My Clients
Seeking help is hard, and finding the right therapist can be even harder. Thank you for considering me for that roIe! I specialize in treating problematic sexual behaviors, depression and other mood disorders, trauma, anxiety disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, victim/survivors of interpersonal abuse, human trafficking, and stalking, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and psychotic symptoms. I love working with kids, teens, and adults!
My Background and Approach
Seeking help is hard, and finding the right therapist can be even harder. Thank you for considering me for that roIe! I use an individualized approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs. My techniques include psychodynamic, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, expressive arts, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, ERP, and play therapy. My goal is to help clients build lifelong skills for growth and resilience. I bring experience across multiple levels of care, including community-based and in-home services, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. In a previous leadership role, I also provided mentorship and clinical guidance to a team of fellow therapists. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from age 4 through 60 and beyond, tailoring support to meet each stage of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I provide a safe, non-judgemental, comfortable space for healing. I believe that there is always room to grow and learn. Whether my client is 5 years old or 50 years old, I make it a goal to teach my clients something during every session. I meet clients where they're at, and use harm-reduction strategies to help folks reach their mental health goals. I believe that everyone should have access to quality mental health care. I'm an advocate for social change within, and outside of, mental and behavioral health. When I'm not at work, I like to spend time outside, playing with makeup, binge-watching bad reality TV, experimenting with art, cuddling with my cats, and relaxing with my dogs.
