Searching for a therapist is difficult especially when you are experiencing life stressors and just trying to navigate daily life. Taking this step on your healing journey can be overwhelming, but it is also courageous! Therapy can provide meaning, clarity, and self-growth, and it can also simply provide a space for you to call your own. I believe that fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest tools in helping individuals on their journey towards their goals.
My Background and Approach
My interest in therapy began when I was working in a hospital when the COVID-19 pandemic began. I have a background in physical therapy and sports science, but seeing the need for mental health care during that time created a spark. I value providing holistic care of my clients meaning we will address all dimensions of wellness, and strive to have the mind and body working in unison. By using empathy and collaboration, I hope to create an open space for us to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns, and bring awareness to how they are impacting your daily life. I enjoy using an integrative approach consisting of cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and mindfulness in order to tailor treatment to your specific needs. I currently specialize in treating college students (undergraduate/graduate), anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief & loss, sports/performance issues, relationships, self-esteem, and self care.
