My clients are diverse and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. I try to focus on the most important part of therapy, the relationship. I welcome all clients from any background.
My Background and Approach
Galina A. Buckhout is licensed in the states of Illinois and California as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and she is a Registered Psychological Associate (RPA) in the state of California. She achieved an M.A. in Counseling from NEIU in 2006 and a Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology from California Southern University in 2019. She has had over 14 years of experience working in various mental health settings including hospital, partial care, outpatient and addiction centers while helping individuals and families with a variety of personal issues ranging from depression, anxiety, stress, family problems, addictions of all kinds, relationships/parenting, to trauma/abuse and more. Her work is dedicated to improve the lives of my clients and help them on the road to self-awareness and self-acceptance by resolving their personal problems and decreasing their suffering so that they have a better chance of having a more enjoyable, healthier, happier and productive life.
