Women who have experienced abuse, domestic violence, addiction or other painful experiences. Your anxious feelings of the unknown and depressing feelings of past experiences have been hurdles for you to climb as you maneuver your way through life. You have felt a loss of hope for your future. If you are motivated to become the person you want to be, it is going to be possible. It will take hard work, uncomfortable feelings, and trying new things, but you are worth it and I am here to help.
My Background and Approach
After more than 10 years of experience with women's specific issues, I have learned some simple and profound evidence based tools to cope with a variety of life's challenges. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based lens that is non-judgmental, authentic, and compassionate. Together, we will create a plan that is designed with your needs, preferences, and comfortability in mind. I find that it is important to treat the whole person through addressing the mind, body, and spirit connection. I utilize techniques from a blended approach including cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness based therapy, somatic therapy, and trauma therapy. If you are having troubling thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that you would like to change, I have learned some strategies that can help. It won't be easy, but there is hope, and you deserve to find peace and happiness.
