About My Clients

Do you feel trapped by unhealthy, toxic, or broken cycles? Do you want to make meaningful change but don’t know where to start? Maybe it feels hard to get motivated. You're not stuck. It might feel like a part of you is staring to work against you, and you’ve started to resent yourself. You might feel disconnected from yourself, or like you can’t do the things you once dreamt about. Let’s work together and honor all of you. Our work starts by creating a meaningful and safe therapeutic alliance.

My Background and Approach

I integrate brain- and body-based techniques to employ a holistic approach. I incorporate elements of mindfulness and meditation, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, expressive arts and activities, and neuroscience-informed techniques. Our work will honor, explore, and support meaningful mind-body connection. My work is individualized to meet your needs and to support whole-person healing. During our sessions, you may be invited to participate in creative modes of expression—including through art or music. In our time together, you will likely be invited to engage in various modes of expression--including creative modes such as art or music, guided imagery and mindfulness exercises. I will provide an empathic and warm ear to offer reflection and challenge. I am authentic and genuine in my work, inviting the space we create to be a place to celebrate and honor you as a whole and distinct person.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m Emma—mom, wife, counselor, and survivor. I believe in the human capacity to change, grow, and thrive. My goal is to help you build strength, empowerment, and intuitive self-awareness. I celebrate the strength of vulnerability, reclaiming power, and combating shame. My values are strongly rooted and influenced by consent, autonomy, and inclusivity. My areas of passion include healing from childhood trauma, breaking toxic cycles, strengthening the mind-body connection, spending time with my little family, and traveling the world. It is my goal as a human to be a global citizen, celebrate others, and honor the strengths built through overcoming. I believe the therapy relationship is unique in that it encompasses aspects which are professional , personal, and vulnerable. I strive to build sacred healing spaces with clients, inviting you to share the parts of yourself that may otherwise not see the light. This way, we can honor your authentic self and achieve meaningful change.
