About My Clients
You might be a good fit for therapy with me if you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or like your life isn’t quite aligned with what matters most to you. Maybe you’re curious about your patterns—how you relate to emotions, to others, or to the world around you—and you're open to exploring those things, even when it feels a bit vulnerable. I work well with people who are ready to engage actively in therapy, try new ways of approaching their inner experiences, and take meaningful steps toward change.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, I focus on three core areas: building awareness of your patterns and how you relate to thoughts, emotions, and others; increasing openness to experiences you may be avoiding (sometimes through exposure work); and taking meaningful action in line with your values. I integrate mindfulness, self-compassion, and somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation and emotional flexibility. Therapy with me is collaborative, active, and grounded—with a little humor along the way—as we explore what matters to you and how to move toward it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of work, I have a deep love for animals and nature. In another life, I worked as a veterinary technician and have volunteered with marine mammal rehab centers, wildlife care centers, and cared for injured songbirds. I also share my home with a rescue dog and cats, and I’m committed to making choices that support a better world for both people and animals. I’ve also had my own experiences with anxiety—particularly related to climate change and social situations—which have deepened my understanding of the emotional struggles many people face. My personal journey has included navigating infertility, chronic illness, and the complexities of the immigration process. These experiences have shaped how I show up as a therapist: with empathy, nuance, and respect for each person’s unique path.
