About My Clients
Parenthood is THE most transformative life stage! Moms are constantly thinking, worried and exhausted with the little one and irritated with their partner. Dads are supporting their partner but feel unable to help and feel isolated and lonely. This time is a roller coaster - the highest of highs, the lowest of lows and intense pressure to be the perfect parent. But that can change. I help parents find relief from the pressure, feel supported, and be present in this journey.
My Background and Approach
When you are with me, I use different therapeutic techniques to help you reach your goals. I primarily use a new and upcoming intervention called the NeuroAffective Relational Model®, also known as NARM®. NARM® offers a framework for post-traumatic growth by supporting increased resiliency, greater health outcomes, healthier relationships, personal growth and social change. I also use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. With 15 years of experience, I know that therapy helps people feel more confident in themselves, peaceful in their mind and body and have satisfying relationships with themselves and others. I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a B.A. in Religious Studies and attended The University of Texas Steve Hicks School of Social Work for graduate school.
