About My Clients
I work best with high-functioning adults (often women) who look 'fine' but feel anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, or stuck in people-pleasing and overthinking. Many have a trauma history, chronic stress, relationship conflict, or a lifelong sense of 'I'm too much / not enough.' Together we strengthen boundaries, regulate the nervous system, and get curious about the parts of you that protect (and the parts that hurt) so you can feel steady, clear, and more like you.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Board-Certified Counselor with 20+ years of mindfulness and meditation practice. My style is warm, direct, and use both top-down and bottom-up approaches to treat trauma, anxiety, stress and relationship issues. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), nervous system regulation (polyvagal-informed), somatic and attachment work, and practical skills (communication, boundaries, and values-based choices). We'll track what's happening in your body, name what's true, and build capacity so hard conversations, big feelings, and old triggers don't run the show. Clients often say they feel understood quickly and learn tools they can actually use between sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe there's something 'wrong' with you. I believe your symptoms are intelligent signals from a nervous system that learned how to survive. I value kindness, honesty, and consent, inside your own mind and in your relationships. In our work we focus on self-trust: staying in your own 'hula hoop,' noticing what isn't yours, and choosing boundaries that match your values. I'm also holistic in the grounded way: we can use breath, attention, movement, and sound as regulation supports when they fit you. My goal is simple: help you think clearly, feel grounded in your body, and live from who you actually are.
