About My Clients
In therapy, I can help you understand the thoughts and feelings you experience and provide you with tools to help modify behaviors. This helps to reduce symptoms that keep you in a repetitive cycle so that you can think, feel, and do better. These tools will increase your communication, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills within your personal and professional relationships as well as assist you in adjusting to new changes or stressors that may arise.
My Background and Approach
I am highly recognized as a “National Board-Certified Counselor” in the field of counseling. I have over 20 years of experience in mindfulness and meditation integrated with extensive evidence-based theories including Internal Family Systems (IFS) which is a collaborative therapeutic approach that relies on clients’ intuitive wisdom. I bring to therapy genuineness, presence, creativity, kindness, and a sense of humor that makes it easy to connect and to feel safe to talk about difficult life experiences. My integrative, intuitive, and holistic approach is also well-suited for individuals who have a desire to understand themselves on a deeper level.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that it is important to know what you value because it plays a major role is how you communicate and connect with others. I value kindness, being authentic, and present. When I interact with others, I consciously take the time to make sure I stay committed to these things so that I can feel good about who I am and help others to feel good about themselves as well. I think a big part of why people suffer is because they struggle staying present and they are unaware of what is really important to them. I believe that if a person is aware of what they value, they too can have a strong foundation to help themselve to feel better.
