About My Clients
As a counselor, I help people overcome stuck points in life - feeling stuck in a past memory or experience, feeling stuck in a depressive rut or anxiety spiral, feeling stuck in fear or overwhelm, or just feeling stuck, period. Maybe you know exactly what you want from counseling, or maybe you just want something to change. Wherever you are in your healing journey, we’ll work through things together.
My Background and Approach
I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective, and combine talk therapy (like ACT and DBT) with whole-body approaches (such as EMDR and IFS). In our sessions, you can expect to learn emotion regulation skills, explore the roots of your problems, and actually feel those feelings you’ve been thinking about (I see you, intellectualizers!). I’m also trained in EMDR and ERP, and can help you process trauma and intrusive thoughts in a safe, supportive environment. Outside the counseling room, you can find me with my diva cat Dolly, practicing aerial arts, reading the latest Emily Henry novel, or exploring Cincinnati’s ice cream scene.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know from my clinical work (as well as my own mental health journey) that wellness isn’t a linear path with a clear start and finish. Instead, it’s a series of small shifts that gradually build into a rich, fulfilling life. I strive to create an affirming and inclusive environment for clients of all experiences, backgrounds, and diagnoses - everyone deserves to feel safe and supported in their healing journey.
