About My Clients
I work with a variety of issues: anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, family of origin stress, codependency, etc. Wherever you find yourself, I'm here to support you. We'll process through your current stressors together and find a path forward. I also do premarital counseling and couples counseling.
My Background and Approach
I was trained as a clinical mental health therapist in Austin, Texas. I am warm, empathic, systematic, and relational. I really enjoy this work and I care about my clients. I believe in tending to the whole person. While I am trained to support you with your mental health, I'll also help you consider a more holistic approach to your overall health. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based theories and I am a level-one certified Gottman Couples Therapist. I am also EMDR certified.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every human has intrinsic and equal value. I believe that self-worth and self-esteem should not come from outward appearance or achievements. You are enough and you are valuable just as you are. I am supportive and affirming of the LGBTQ+ community. I also work with church leaders and Christians who are looking for counseling support.
