About My Clients
I am a licensed psychologist who provides online therapy to help adult clients adapt to their “new norm” when they're not functioning at the level they want to be. I specialize in working with clients who put on a brave face and appear to be functioning well, but on the inside feel stressed and overwhelmed. Are pretty good at “holding it all together” but the stress keeps piling on. It's time to try something different and prioritize your needs.
My Background and Approach
I use an integrative approach to treatment that is more insight-oriented and explores underlying issues that contribute to the presenting problem. This allows me to meet the individual’s needs as opposed to a cookie cutter (one size fits all) approach to treatment. Together we will increase your self-awareness by identifying and understanding how your past experiences have shaped who you are and how you engage with others. My therapeutic style is described as understanding and collaborative with gentle guidance to help you identify key issues. I tend to use humor and build on individual strengths. Clients can expect the first session to be a structured discussion to assess the presenting problem as well as treatment goals. Subsequent sessions may seem less direct and exploratory. Sessions might include an exploration of self-esteem and understanding recurring patterns in your life.
