About My Clients
I approach therapy through a social justice lens that empowers my clients to find their own voices and identities. My practice is oriented towards all communities, individuals, and couples because suffering connects us all to the human experience. I also have a focus on the LGBTQ+ communities and work with LBGTQ+ teens and their families, individuals, couples, and groups.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in expressive arts therapy, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness work, and somatic resourcing techniques to reawaken the connections to the mind, body, and spirit. I also use other forms of therapy such as CBT, DBT, Ecotherapy/Nature-Based Counseling (to strengthen our connections to the natural world and build a sense of spirituality), and use ritual to invite healing into those areas of grief and loss that we all suffer from being human.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe for every drop of rain, a flower grows. And I believe that for every flower that grows, a garden can bloom and transform. Transformation invites us to bloom and grow and just like the flower needs the rain, we need to nurture and water ourselves too, in order for our gardens to transform. It is a journey that calls upon us to participate in the discovery of who we authentically are. It is also a tender growing of our most vulnerable selves that leads us past our fears through a Hero’s journey and into a beautiful transformation waiting on the other side. Let the sun's warm and nurturing light bring safety and healing to those dark areas of ourselves where something greater beckons to grow.
