About My Clients

I can help you overcome distress and heal from trauma.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive training in humanistic and person-centered therapies, cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, attachment-based parenting, emotionally-focused couples counseling, mindfulness-based counseling, and crisis counseling. I am currently in intensive EMDR training. I provide affirming sexuality counseling. I am passionate about helping you find greater satisfaction in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a humanistic counselor, my practice's philosophical foundation is the affirmation of the dignity of every human being. Human beings typically possess the solutions to their struggles and I work with clients to reconnect with and draw out their self-awareness, intuition, wisdom, and insight. Helping my clients access their innate wisdom and strength empowers them to function optimally outside the therapy room and not be dependent upon therapy for daily functioning or problem solving.
