About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I have a psycho/somatic-spiritual approach and my view on therapy is person centered. Each individual who comes in is unique, and so should be the treatment plan and care provided. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II, a Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist, and hold additional certifications in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and CBT. I have been working in mental health for over 10 years now, treating different disorders, working in substance abuse, and also operating a private practice. I utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy framework in conjunction with neurobiology, meditative/hypnosis practices, breathing exercises, and somatic techniques in helping you to process out suppressed emotions, trauma, and retrain the subconscious mind in order to create a new perspective and reconnect to the body. I have also developed and implemented Adventure Therapy (AT) curriculums in previous centers, and offer AT to individuals, groups, and facilities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, my job is not to give advice nor make tough decisions for you, but rather to have a strong therapeutic relationship with you in order to listen in an empathetic-curious manner, so I can ask you insightful thought-provoking questions with the hope of leading you to self-actualization, change, and growth! You are the expert of your own life and have the inherent knowledge and answers you seek. I come from a belief that it is our greatest attachments that give us the most joy, but also creates the most suffering! And for this, I aim to guide & support you in this process of letting go of all that no longer serves you so you can become your highest expression of self. Remember that we repeat the same pattern until the lesson is learned and the change is made. However, sometimes these attachments, patterns, and roles are not so simple to understand. Sometimes the right conversation with the right individual can help spark the awareness needed in order to elicit change.
