About My Clients
Maybe you're the person everyone depends on, but lately you're exhausted from holding everything together. Maybe anxiety won't let your mind slow down, a relationship has left you questioning yourself, or life simply doesn't look the way you thought it would. You may be dealing with grief, betrayal, depression, stress, or a major life change and aren't sure what comes next. You don't have to have the right words or even know where to begin. We can start exactly where you are.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico, as well as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about what is wrong. I want our work together to help you understand what is happening, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to move forward. My approach is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I will listen without judgment, but I will also ask questions, challenge you when appropriate, and help you look at situations from a different perspective. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I draw from different approaches based on you, your experiences, and what you need. Most importantly, you don't have to come to therapy knowing exactly what to say or what your goals should be. We can figure that out together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are much more than the difficult season they may be going through. I don't believe therapy is about telling you how to live your life or making decisions for you. It is about creating a space where you can be honest, feel heard, understand yourself better, and decide what moving forward looks like for you. I value compassion, honesty, respect, and meeting people where they are. I believe our experiences shape us, but they do not have to define what comes next. I also understand that family, culture, faith, relationships, and personal values can be important parts of who we are. When those things matter to you, there is room for them in therapy. Above all, I want the people I work with to feel that they can show up as themselves without having to pretend that everything is okay.
