About My Clients
How do you define joy? When or where do you experience happiness? Answers to these questions can be hard to put into words, especially when our “lows” feel never ending. My role as a therapist is to support clients of all walks of life work through these questions to regain hope and peace. I believe mental wellness is experiencing a range of emotions in a healthy manner in order to make decisions for desired short term and long term benefits.
My Background and Approach
I take a holistic approach to therapy. This means I value providing space that acknowledges the body, mind, and soul as connected and working as one. I am experienced in supporting individuals identify and overcome barriers. I am passionate offering space for validation and celebration in the therapy space. I encourage thought challenging to consider alternative perspective and offer a brave/safe space to process feelings and experiences. My approach borrows from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and trauma informed practices. I aim to offer accessible skills for distress tolerance and effective communication with others. My role as a therapist is to work collaboratively as a non biased thought partner aligned with the therapeutic goals for the space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to identifying the innate strengths within us all. I enjoy working with groups and individuals to exchange experience and process emotions. I believe in the impact of creative problem solving, there is no one solution to move through troubling times, there are many AND they are personal. I aim to partner with individuals to make room for themselves to move through distress.
